An engagement card...and wedding invites!!

Well, this card is a departure in usual style for me, but I thought was fitting for the funky, arty creative individual for whom it was made :)

The background was En Francais and French foliage stamped in basic black. The three flowers were cut using the fun flowers die and then the white was stamped with en Francais again, the cherry cobbler flower was embossed with Swiss dots folder and brayed with basic black to age it . The central brads were from the totally gorgeous Vintage brads collection. The lace is from my personal stash and was brayered with black to add a grungy effect.

She must have liked it as I was asked today to make her wedding stationery. :D

I feel truly honoured to have been asked but slightly nervous and I'll admit, scared. I am NO perfectionist and know that a wedding is a special once in a lifetime event where everything should be perfect. So I shall just give it my best and hope to make the bride to be (and groom?!) as happy as possible.

Trip of a lifetime card

This is a card I made for my fab friends, Lou and Phil who are off to Japan for the trip of a lifetime.

I was also lucky enough to be sent the images for this by a kind demo on ILWS - thanks Tracy!! that's the trouble if you don't buy a stamp set when you see it - it'll come back to haunt you :)

This card uses real red, basic black, whisper white. The flourish is using the swirl embosslit, the sentiment was from a hostess special set and the ovals were my non SU nestabilities. The flowers were made by using the two smaller flowers from the boho blossom punch - each flower has 3 of each small flowers, each one then rolled using the end of the pokey tool to make the images curl a little, then glued and layered together and a glue dot and black gem added to the centre.

Hope you like it!
